Shabby Chic Storage /Holder

 Shabby Chic Storage/Holder

This Storage compartment holder is another wonderful design by Faith Pocock, have a look here, https://www.faithpocockcraftstudio.com/product-page/storage-compartments-with-drawer

Items used; Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap, Cream Chalk Paint, Tim Holtz Distress Kitsch Flamingo, Stamperia Rice Paper, Prima Soft Gel, and Crackle Paint.

Let’s get started

I used cream chalk paint and covered all the panels, I coated this twice and left it to thoroughly dry. After it had dried I then coated the panels with crackle paint and left it to dry to do its work! I then brushed with Tim Holtz Frayed  Burlap paint to give that shabby chic look.

I used a little distress spray in areas then gently wiped it off, leaving a faint soft pink residue.

It will look like this. Keep building up with the Cream chalk paint, Frayed Burlap, and the Distress spray to get the effect you want. When building up, try not to paint it on just dad with a frayed paintbrush, and keep wiping until you have the desired look.

Here I used Stamperia Rice paper and tore away the pieces that I wanted to use. I placed it on the sides, the front edges and the back of the panels.

Like this, just add where ever you like the patterns to go.

To give the shabby look, after I have placed the rice paper on, I went over it with a frayed brush with the Cream chalk paint, this helps gives a worn look.

Add a handle to the draw

You can use this storage system for anything you like.
I love it for all my tags. These techniques you can use on any projects and also distressing furniture.
